Use phrases like "Jag jobbar på det", "Jag är klar", and "Jag skickar det senare" for everyday updates.
Use "Kan du hjälpa mig?", "Kan vi titta på det tillsammans?", and "Jag förstår inte riktigt" when you need support.
Start with "Hej", be direct, and close with "Vänliga hälsningar" for a neutral professional tone.
Ask "När behöver det vara klart?" or "Är det bråttom?" before assuming priority.
Start with introductions, meeting phrases, task updates, and polite clarification phrases. These appear in many workplaces even when the main working language is English.
It depends on the job. Some roles require strong Swedish, while many international workplaces use English. Practical Swedish still helps with onboarding, colleagues, HR, lunch conversations, and local systems.
Choose one phrase group per day: meetings, small talk, task updates, or email language. Say the phrases out loud, write a short example, and use one phrase in a real work situation when possible.
That is common. You can still use small Swedish phrases for greetings, thanks, coffee, lunch, and simple updates. Tell coworkers you are learning and ask them to use short Swedish phrases with you.
